Chicken Drummies: Ingredients
4 lb bag chicken drummies or wings
2/3 cup of flour
4 tbsp paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp sea salt
6 tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 425
Spray your baking sheets w/ cooking spray. You may want to cover them in foil first to avoid the mess. Dot pans w/ butter. 3 tbsp on each. This does not have to be exact.
In a bowl add flour, paprika, garlic powder & salt. Mix well. Add your seasonings to a ziplock bag. Add some of the drummies and shake to coat.
Once coated, place drummies on prepared pans.
Repeat this process with remaining chicken.
Discard any leftover seasoning.
Sprinkle chicken with fresh ground pepper.
Place your chicken in preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Using a thin spatula release the chicken from the pan. Flip w/ tongs. Sprinkle with pepper. Rotate pans putting the bottom pan in the top rack this time & vice versa. Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven. Use spatula again to release chicken from pan. Place on a paper towel lined pan or plate to blot.
Plate and serve with your favorite side and dipping sauce. I served mine with this macaroni salad (recipe) & a simple blue cheese sauce I made. Such a satisfying warm weather
treat! Fruit salad or watermelon would be a great addition. Be creative and make meal that you love!
Note: the Paprika gives these a nice smoky flavor so they also pair well with BBQ sauce.
This is by far the easiest drummie/wing recipe that I've made. These are perfectly seasoned and crispy. You won't need to add a thing when they are done.
Simple blue cheese dip...a spoonful of mayo, a few splashes of whipping cream, a sprinkle of blue cheese and a sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste.
